Welcome to my page! My name is Ashe Juchau, I am a 2D Animator from Southern California building my brand, Froggbee. Currently, I am a third year student attending Columbus College of Art and Design for animation with a minor in art therapy; my main focus at CCAD being character creation and animation.
Animation has always surrounded me, growing up on disney and pixar movies I found a love for the art form. A huge inspiration has always been the movie Wall-E by Pixar. I found myself entranced- not only by the well told story of a decaying world in which two robots found love- but in the visuals of it. The detail put into every scene shows how much care went into producing it, especially with close-up scenes of Wall-E’s hands. The subtle scraps, dirt, the overall wear and tear of his design portray something that has been doing this for a long time which goes along with the environment in which we are introduced to him. Another huge inspiration for me as of late has been the Netflix show Arcane by Riot Games. The environmental storytelling highlighting the character design along with the painterly style of it all is astounding. One interesting fact is every main character is morally ambiguous, just as we humans are. These characters make wrong decisions, they’re clumsy, they get hurt, and it’s all wrapped in a well told story of two sisters living through a class-war. It’s the characters that can drive a story, and I strive to be someone to help tell those stories.
